Andrey Vdovichenko

Born on March 12 in 1967, Moscow.
 

Education:

In 1992, he graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Department of Classical Philology). In 1994-1998, was studying in the post-graduate school at IWL RAS.
In 1997-1998, was studying in the post-graduate programme at Vreje Universitet Amsterdam and defended a diploma thesis about problems of interpreting holy scriptures.
In 2004, he defended a Ph.D. thesis "Problems of Interpreting the Septuagint and the New Testament Language" [Problemy interpretacii jazyka septuaginty i Novogo Zaveta] (Yuri Stepanov, a member of the RAS, was the academic advisor) at the Academy Council, the Institute of Linguistics, RAS.
In 2014 (20 February), he defended a Dr.habil. thesis "Greek Biblical Texts in Material and Discoursive Description Approaches" [Grekojazyčnye biblejskie teksty v predmetnoj i diskursivnoj modeljax opisanija] at the Academy Council, the Institute of Linguistics, RAS.

the Septuagint and the New Testament Languages; language philosophy; discourse linguistics; communicative linguistics; history of linguistics
