Vadim Dyachkov

Ph.D.

In 2013, Vadim Dyachkov graduated from the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics of MSU. In 2019, he defended a PhD thesis in a dissertation council D 002.006.03 at the Institute of Linguistics of RAS. 

Since 2011, he deals with the complex description of African minority languages (Tomo Kan and Natioro), including compiling dictionaries, grammatical descriptions, and thorough study of individual morphological and syntactic phenomena. Since 2016, is actively involved in researching derivational morphology in Finno-Ugric languages (mainly based on Hill Mary and Udmurt languages). 

Specialist in forensic linguistic expertise since 2014.

Research interests

typology, morphology, aspectology, formal semantics, African studies, field linguistics, typological databases, sociolinguistics, Dogon languages, Gur languages, Finno-Ugric languages, linguistic expertise.
