Formerly announced as panels on African linguistics at 15th International African Studies conference.
Our conference will deal with languages of Africa from typological, diachronic, cultural and historic perspectives including, but not limited to the following: typological and cross-linguistically oriented studies in lexicon and grammar of African languages, comparative linguistics, lexicology and lexicography, sociolinguistics and language politics, language contacts, dialectology, historical linguistics, language in oral and written tradition.
Official working languages of the conference are English and Russian. Still, in terms of an international conference, we strongly encourage everyone to submit and to present in English.
Abstracts for the conference on African linguistics should be sent to the email address africa@iling-ran.ru no later than September 15 30, 2019 both in .doc and .pdf formats. The abstract should not exceed 300 words. Please include your full name, affiliation, postal and e-mail addresses, phone number. Submissions of the highest quality and relevance will be chosen for presentation at the conference.
