Biography
- Yuri Koryakov was born in 1976 in Rostov-on-Don, spent his childhood and adolescence in Khadyzhensk,
- In 1998 he graduated from Department of Theoretic and Applied Linguistics of Moscow State University by M.V.Lomonosov in the specialty "Theoretic and Applied Linguistics". The theme of diploma is "The quantitative relationships of vowels in languages of Europa".
- In 2002 he got his PhD thesis "Linguistic Situation in Belarus and Typology of Linguistic Situation" in MSU.
- Since 1999 he has been working in the group "Languages of the World" of the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

- The work on the Atlas of Languages of Russia.

- "Languages of the World: Ancient relict languages of Western Asia" (published in 2010)
