Popularization of science is one of the most important directions in the activity of the Institute of Linguistics. This section features the information on all of the connected projects and initiatives.
The Russian Presidential Council for the Russian Language
The council aims at ensuring the development, protection, and support of the Russian language, as well as at coordinating international humanitarian collaboration in this direction. In 2019, the new Council included the Institute's Director Andrej KIbrik, the head of the Research Center for National Linguistic Relations Vladimir Alpatov, and the head of the Section of Typology Vladimir Plungian.

In 2018–2019, the employees of the Institute of Linguistics took part in an educational project NaukaPRO (SciencePRO). The recordings of their lectures can be found here.
The Institute's researchers in PostNauka (PostScience)
In 2012–2020, the employees of the Institute of Linguistics participated in the educational project PostNauka (PostScience). The recordings of their lectures can be found here.
Gorky Park Summer Lyceum (2014 and 2015)
In May, June and July of 2014, the Institute's researchers gave a series of popular science lectures at the "Pioner" summer cinema in Gorky Park. The lectures took place on Saturdays from 2pm until 3.30pm. The pictures from these events can be found in this album on the website of the Institute of Linguistics.
The lectures were organised by Vitaly Nuriev and Vladimir Karpov. The Institute of Linguistics was awarded a letter of gratitude for participation from the administration of Gorky Park.
The second series of the Institute's Summer Lyceum took place in 2015. The photographs can be found in the album.

Articles and interviews
