1994 – 2000 – Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Novosibirsk State University (MA's in Applied Mathematics and Informatics, specialisation – Computational Mathematics).
1999 – 2002 – Faculty of Foreign Languages, Novosibirsk State University, qualification – philologist, specialisation – English (graduation thesis Mathematical terminology. Systematic approach).
2003 – 2006 – Postgraduate studies at Novosibirsk State University, specialisation 10.02.04 - Germanic languages.
2010 – Ph.D. thesis Linguistic Purism in Modern England, specialisation 10.02.19 – Theory of Language, scientific adviser – PhD, Dr.habil., Prof. Irina Shaposhnikova.
Scientific and educational research
2000 – 2003 – Professor at the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Novosibirsk State University. Larisa Zhukova taught English at the Faculty of Mathematics and Mecanics and the Faculty of Information Technologies, as well as Translation Studies at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
2007 – 2008 – Researcher at the Ethnopsycholinguistics Laboratory at the Research Department of Novosibirsk State University. Larisa Zhukova carried out research work and took part in the creation of new programs and educational materials for the sociolinguistics course in the framework of the research project 1.14.07 (Federal Education Agency task) and within the framework of the program "Innovative educational programs and technologies, performed on the principles of partnership between the classical university, science, business and the state" of the national project "Education".
2009 – 2010 – Professor at the Department of the English Language at the State Academic University for the Humanities. Larisa Zhukova conducted lectures and practical sessions on the disciplines "Introduction to Linguistics", "Introduction to the Theory of Intercultural Communication".
2010 – 2011 – Professor at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication at the Moscow Institute of Linguistics. She conducted lectures and seminars on the following disciplines: "Lexicology of the English language", "Literary history of the countries of the target language", "History of the English language and introduction to special philology". She also conducted practical sessions on "The сulture of speech communication" and carried out scientific supervision of students' term papers and theses.
Research interests
(ethno)psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, linguo-conflictology, linguo-ecology.
Member of the editorial board of the journal Voprosy Psiholingvistiki [The Journal of Psycholinguistics].
