Konstantin Krasukhin was born on 15 June, 1962, in Moscow. He is a Russian philologist, a specialist in general and historico-comparative linguistics and classical philology. He has PhD, Dr.habil. degree (2000), and is the member of the Indo-German Community and European Linguistic Community.
1984 ─ graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Lomonosov Moscow State University with the degree "Classical Philology";
1984─1987 : postgraduate studies at the Department of Classical Philology, Lomonosov Moscow State University;
PhD thesis "Diachronic Archaisms and the Development of the Verb System in Greek of the Earliest Times" (academic advisor ─ prof. Shirokov);
1988─1991 : the member of the linguistic editorial board of the publishing house "Nauka";
since 1991 ─ employed by the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences;
1991─2004 ─ a stuff member in the Section of Theoretical Linguistics (later ─ Department);
2006 ─ the Head of the Section of General Comparative Linguistics;
1999 ─ PhD, Dr.habil thesis "Aspects of the Indo-European Reconstruction: Accentology, Morphology, and Syntax" (opponents ─ prof. Zhuravlev, Neroznak, Makovskiy);
2004 ─ the publication of the extended version in the separate monograph;
since 1996 ─ in combination, he is the prof. of the Dubna State University (the Department of Linguistics);
1998-2014 ─ taught courses in other Moscow and Moscow region Universities;
Lectures on "Old Languages", Ancient Greek", "Latin", "Historical Grammar of Ancient Greek and Latin", "General Linguistics", "History of Linguistic Studies", "History of the English Language", "Historical and Comparative Morphology and Syntax".
Research Interests:
comparative grammar of Indo-European languages (on all levels but primarily - accentology, morpho(no)logy, syntax), theoretical grammar, Ancient Greek dialects, epics, and poetry
Krasukhin put forward the ablaut-accentual paradigm in the Proto-Indo-European stage of the language. which basic sub-systems of flection and word-formation derive from.
In several publications, he established his own model of the development and the decay of the Proto-Indo-European language.

2013 — in the Institute of Comparative Linguistics and Celtics Studies of Philipps University in Marburg (Germany)
He participated in a numaber of conferences in Russia and abroad, including XIII (1997, Dusseldorf), XIV (1999, Vancouver), XV (2001, Melbourne), XVIII (2007, Montreal); International conferences on historical linguistics, Indo-Germanic community meeting (2001, Freiburg, 2007, Marburg, 2008, Zalcberg, 2009, Vurcburg, 2001, Los-Angeles), XVII International Congress of Linguists (2003, Prague), 39th European Linguistic Community meeting (2006, Bremen), etc. Krasukhin gave guest lectures in German universities.
He has been publishing his works since 1985. He is the author of 150 publications, including 4 books.
