Education
In 2009, Elena Krotova graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Area Studies at Lomonosov Moscow State University. From 2009 to 2012, she undertook her postgraduate studies with the specialisation "10.02.04 – Germanic languages". In 2012, she conducted research for her PhD thesis at the University of Vienna, Austria (the project "Linguistic corpora and the usage thereof when compiling phraseological dictionaries"). In 2013, she defended her PhD thesis "Korpusnaja frazeografija (na materiale nemeckogo jazyka)" [Corpus Phraseography (based on the German language)] at the Institute of Linguistics at the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2016, she graduated from the MA programme "Fundamental and Applied Linguistics. Computational Linguistics" at the Faculty of Humanities at HSE University.
Working experience
Since May 2016 Elena has been employed as a Junior Researcher at the Section of Germanic Languages of the Institute of Linguistics. She is also the Academic Secretary of the lexicographic group "German-Russian Academic Dictionary". From 2014 until 2017, she used to teach German at the Department of Foreign Languages of the Institute of Linguistics as an associate professor, she used to prepare postgraduates for the aspirant examination in German and was a member of the editing boards at entrance and aspirant examinations. From 2012 until 2014, she used to teach German at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Area Studies at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
